Michael Cremo

Coast to Coast AM  George Noory with Michael Cremo
Author and researcher Michael Cremo returned to discuss 'forbidden archeology,' ancient Sanskrit knowledge, and cosmic hierarchy. He shared evidence that humans existed on this planet millions of years ago. Examples included, a human skeleton found in Illinois under a thick layer of unbroken slate rock-- which was estimated to be around 300 million years old. And a probable shoe print (the 'Meister print') discovered in Antelope Spring, Utah in slate rock that also contained a trilobite fossil, dated back to 500 million years ago.

It's written in the ancient Sanskrit texts known as the Vedas, that human civilizations have come and gone many times in the history of the Earth.

After each time, the planet had to be repopulated and Cremo speculated that higher beings might have reseeded the planet with life forms. The Vedas also described 'vimanas'-- different types of spacecraft that could travel between planets, subtle dimensions, and into pure consciousness.

Cremo believes we are part of a multidimensional cosmos in which ordinary matter, subtle planes, and pure consciousness co-exist and are inhabited by beings in each of the different realms. Spirit communications, apparitions, UFOs, and possession are evidence of this, he said. He also posited that humankind has devolved from the realm of pure consciousness and "become covered with the lower energies of mind and matter."

Michael Cremo - Human Devolution

Coast to Coast AM  George Noory with Michael Cremo
Michael Cremo is a member of the History of Science Society, the World Archeological Congress, the Philosophy of Science Association, the European Association of Archaeologists and a research associate in history and philosophy of science for the Bhaktivedanta Institute. After receiving a scholarship to study International Affairs at George Washington University, Michael began to study the ancient histories of India known as the Vedas. In this way, he has broadened his academic knowledge with spirituality from the Eastern tradition.

Michael is on the cutting edge of science and culture issues. In the course of a few months time he might be found on pilgrimage to sacred sites in India, appearing on a national television show in the United States or another country, lecturing at a mainstream science conference, or speaking to an alternative science gathering. As he crosses disciplinary and cultural boundaries, he presents to his various audiences a compelling case for negotiating a new consensus on the nature of reality.

Cremo discussed evidence for extreme human antiquity and also presented his thesis that human life has devolved from a higher state.

Ancient Sanskrit from India speaks of prior human civilizations dating back much further than current science supposes. Cremo has sought physical evidence to bear this out, among which is the pictured round hematite objects with parallel grooves that have been dated to 2 billion years ago. Found in a mine in South Africa, the 1-2 inch spheres might have been game pieces, he theorized.

Other objects include a coin found in an Illinois well that could be between 200,000 to 400,000 years old, and a small stone sculpture of a female figure found 300 ft. down in an Ohio layer, two million years old. Ancient Sanskrit texts write of long cycles that end in devastation, and the number of these correlate with modern paleontology's six great extinction events, he noted.

Cremo has flipped Darwin's theory that humans evolved from simpler life forms upside down. Citing ancient wisdom sources, he suggested that more sophisticated or advanced beings were here first and they produced simpler life forms themselves.

Michael Cremo - Hidden History of the Human Race

Coast to Coast AM  George Noory with Michael Cremo
Author and researcher Michael Cremo discussed the evidence for "extreme human antiquity." Texts in ancient Sanskrit described previous civilizations that had high technology and he said he's found similar material across a number of ancient cultures. Cremo suggested a number of civilizations, far predating ones from the last 10,000 years, have come and gone, wiped out by various earth changes. According to different wisdom traditions, humanity goes through cycles such as Bronze and Iron Ages or what is called yugas by the Hindu. Evidence in the form of human fossils and artifacts,

such as found in sedimentary layers dating back millions of years, contradicts the current theory of human origins. Yet Cremo has found most mainstream scientists are closed minded to his data, and seek to protect their power and the status quo. A few have been more receptive, and he has presented his work at prestigious venues such as the Royal Institution in London. He also touched on his notion of human devolution-- that people have devolved from a state of higher consciousness into a baser, more material reality.

William Buhlman - Astral Travel

Coast To Coast AM  George Noory with William Buhlman
William Buhlman discussed the latest research on out-of-body experiences (OBEs). During these experiences a person moves into an astral realm-- a dimension of existence apart from the physical world. There are many benefits that can be gained during OBEs. You become an explorer who can ascertain direct knowledge about one's existence rather than just adhering to a belief system, he explained.

During sleep, people actual separate from their bodies, if only a few inches, Buhlman pointed out, adding that one purpose of sleep may be to recharge the body by accessing the etheric plane. He shared a technique for inducing OBEs:

Get up after about 4 hours of sleep, and lie down on a couch instead of your bed. Then, repeat the affirmation "now I'm out of my body" and hold onto that thought.

People have reported having communications with deceased loved ones and family pets during astral travels. But, the natural evolution in an OBE is to slowly lose human form and become a globe of consciousness with 360 degree views, he revealed. A lot of concepts surrounding OBEs are false, such as you can lose connection to your physical body if you're out too long, or that negative entities can enter your body while you're astral traveling, he detailed.

William Buhlman - The Secret of the Soul

Coast To Coast AM  George Noory with William Buhlman
William Buhlman is a leading expert on out-of-body experiences. The author's thirty years of extensive personal out-of-body explorations give him a unique and thought provoking insight into this subject. During the last eight years he has conducted an international out-of-body experience survey that includes over 16,000 participants from 32 countries. The provocative results of this survey are presented in his latest book, The Secret of the Soul. As a certified hypnotherapist, William incorporates various methods, including hypnosis, visualization and meditation techniques in his workshops to explore the profound nature of out-of-body experiences and the benefits of accelerated personal development. Through lectures, workshops and his books the author teaches the preparation and techniques of authentic spiritual exploration. William returned to share the latest observations and developments in out-of-body experience (OBE) research.

During these experiences a person moves into an astral body realm which is actually another dimension of existence, he explained. This type of 'travel' can have a number of benefits. For Buhlman, it gave him verification that consciousness survives outside of the body, and during such states a person can receive healing energies. Many alien abduction reports may actually be misperceived OBEs, he said, noting that when a person leaves their body, they attract attention from a variety of beings that wish to communicate. The notion of form is quite fluid in this realm-- Buhlman said he often perceives of himself as a ball or teardrop of energy. The key to achieving an OBE is persevering with a selected technique for a period of at least 30 days and to practice it on a couch rather than a bed, he noted. Incan shamans may have had to prove their OBE skills by identifying the Nazca Lines animals (which can only be seen from an aerial perspective), he added.
